The Law of Georgia on Water Resource Management (the Law), passed by the Parliament in its third reading on June 30, 2023, outlines the principles of basin management according to which the country will be divided into seven river basins, and corresponding basin management plans will be created.

On 25 September ReforMeter, the USAID Economic Governance Program, and the Georgian Tourism Industry Alliance jointly hosted a public-private dialogue to discuss the progress of tourism reform with local stakeholders in Kutaisi, Georgia.

ISET is seeking to hire Project Coordinator for ReforMeter project.

The Tourism Reform incorporates the amendments envisioned by the Tourism Draft Law, which was initiated by the Parliament of Georgia. In addition, it encompasses planned changes in the tax benefits system for agritourism and wine tourism service providers.

On 25 July, ISET Policy Institute, with support from the Swedish Embassy, met representatives from local non-governmental and international organizations, and from the Kutaisi public and private sectors, in order to introduce its activities and key products.
